The name of the project relates to the encounter between a volunteer from Armenia, hosted by Focus Association, and the town of Pazardjik (Bulgaria).
The main objective was taking part in the life and activities of the association; the volunteer fulfilled all the tasks planned and acquired new knowledge, skills and competence through a non-formal educational process.
Experiencing teamwork, learning a new language, discovering new habits and traditions have enriched the volunteer and given her the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills, such as communication skills to relate to adults with disabilities, Bulgarian language, teamwork, new methods and approaches to people with disabilities, Bulgarian culture and habits, intercultural skills, sensitivity towards people who don’t enjoy equal life conditions and European awareness
Moreover she also had the opportunity to make new friends and acquaintances and appreciate natural sights of Bulgaria.
She took part in educational and padagogical activities.  Her role and tasks were tailored according to her abilities and skills and. The volunteer had always worked under the supervision of a tutor or a rehabilitation therapist. She also had the opportunity to present her own country and culture through cooking their traditional food, preparing for small exhibitions or slide-shows and other activities. She took part in educational and instructive activities, such as helping people with disabilities in making handcrafted pottery, cards, paper panels and so on. She accompanied them to visit civic institutions, museums and other public places, to go to the theater and cinema. She attended to their daily needs, such as personal hygiene, meals and getting dressed. She will celebrate the Bulgarian festivities in the Daily Center for people with disabilities and take part in events organized by the association. She planned activities to improve their leisure time, such as drawing, painting, playing and listening to some music, excursions and so on. Finally the volunteer had the possibility to develop her own project, in accordance with the purposes and actions of the association and the Daily Center.
